Dr. Kristy Tyson is an organizational leadership expert, college educator, talent development professional, facilitator, author, and strategic project partner.
Her career has consistently lived at the intersection of people and organizational performance: How do we develop better leaders? How do we create workplaces where people can perform and grow? How do we turn strategy into action? How do we use data to make better decisions? And how do we build systems and processes that continue working after the consultant, trainer, or leader leaves the room?
Those questions have shaped her work across higher education, financial services, nonprofit and community leadership, professional associations, and entrepreneurship.
Academically, she hold a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership and an MBA. As a college educator and former graduate program director, she have taught across a broad business curriculum, including organizational leadership, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, strategic management, management principles, economics, business law and ethics, workplace technology, spreadsheets and data management, and professional development.
That teaching experience matters to her consulting and facilitation work. Dr. Kristy knows how to research complex topics, translate theory into practical application, design learning experiences for different audiences, facilitate difficult conversations, and help people leave with something they can actually use.
Dr. Kristy's organizational experience allows her to understand the other side of the equation: competing priorities, limited staffing, tight budgets, changing expectations, employee development needs, operational demands, and the reality that important strategic work often gets pushed aside simply because no one has the capacity to own it.
